Dr. Fabian Kracht

Managing Partner & CEO
mesakumo GmbH

Before founding mesakumo, I successfully led the comprehensive digital transformation of the mid-sized family-owned company PERI (construction supplies, €1.7 billion revenue, 70 countries) as CEO and CFO (2014-2021).

With this experience, I now help our customers on their digital journey. It is important to me to focus on:

  • digitisation not as an end in itself, but to create added value,
  • Involve employees and customers early on and get them involved in digitalisation,
  • Think cross-departmentally about processes and break down silos using technology,
  • Make decisions based on data.

Richard Ritz

Managing Partner & COO
mesakumo GmbH

Prior to founding mesakumo, I successfully modernised the traditionally operationally driven IT of the family-owned company PERI as CIO (2015–2021) and transformed it into a business IT. This included the successful implementation of a cloud-only strategy as the foundation and driver of digitalisation.

Based on this experience, I am now helping our customers align their transformation around the following key points:

  • Future-proof IT architecture,
  • Continuous, rapid innovation through market-leading cloud solutions,
  • Shift of the IT role from a bottleneck to an enabler,
  • Unified data architecture as the basis for flexible business intelligence.

Before founding mesakumo Schweiz AG, I spent over 15 years working as a CIO in various Swiss companies. There, I developed IT departments into business enablers and successfully restructured international IT organisations – including complex projects relating to enterprise architecture, business applications and IT infrastructure.

Today, I support small and medium-sized enterprises in Switzerland in effectively implementing their digital transformation – with a focus on:

  • IT strategy
  • Business-IT Alignment
  • Data Strategy & AI Introduction
  • Enterprise Architecture
  • IT Governance & Security for SMEs
  • Change Management & digital culture

My foundation: 13 years as an IT expert and leader in the industrial SME sector, most recently as an enterprise and cloud architect responsible for process and data integration in complex system landscapes. Prior to that, Business Intelligence and an SAP Competence Centre.

For the past five years at mesakumo, I have been combining this in-depth technical expertise with a strategic perspective: I develop IT and digital strategies as a sparring partner for senior management and the board, support ERP and transformation projects, and have taken on several interim IT leadership roles – across a wide variety of client contexts and sectors. My approach has always been to align business objectives with technological feasibility and translate them into viable strategic visions.

Senior Manager

Regina Röthinger

Before mesakumo I worked for 4 years in sales in France and subsequently managed international projects for 10 years related to various „3-letter IT systems“ in the industrial SME sector: CRM, ECM, PLM, CPQ, etc. In terms of content, this involved global roll-outs or further development of content, as well as software selection and migrations.

For me, two things always take priority in projects like this: firstly, how to bring the affected employees along, train and empower them. And secondly, how to ensure that the associated processes not only function technically, but that relevant improvements are achieved compared to the previous status. And in my experience, the rule of thumb for both is: better step by step and over time than too much at once.

I see my expertise primarily in translating and building bridges between cultures, departments, specialist areas, and between users and IT. I have a passion for finding pragmatic solutions to complex challenges. I bring both of these qualities to my work with our clients.

Associate Partner

Tim Kappel

Before joining mesakumo, I was most recently responsible for the global AI strategy at the KION Group, combining strategic direction with concrete implementation. This included, among other things, building and scaling a company-wide GenAI platform with measurable business value (over 600 % ROI, more than 10,000 users worldwide).

At mesakumo, I lead the AI Practice with a consistent focus on business impact and pragmatic implementation – specifically for mid-sized industrial companies. My main focus is on realistically evaluating AI potential and translating it into effective, actionable business initiatives.

Senior Manager

Franziska Müller-Loennies

Before joining mesakumo, I spent 14 years working as a project manager and executive in various departments within the industrial SME sector. With many years of experience in finance, pricing & sales steering, as well as in the operations environment, I bring comprehensive expertise in managing complex business processes.

Recently, my focus has been on developing and implementing digitisation and automation strategies for administrative and logistic processes. As a certified business coach, people are always at the centre of my focus – because successful projects are based on collaboration and mutual trust. My approach combines strategic foresight with practical implementation to position companies efficiently and future-proof them.

Manager

Stefan Lassen

Before working as a consultant at mesakumo, I spent several years in leadership roles within B2C e-commerce and managed various projects in the e-commerce environment. In addition, as a company-wide project manager, I successfully integrated new processes and systems into the corporate system landscape and business processes.

The projects ranged from several shop and website relaunches, the standardisation of the master data maintenance process, the introduction and management of an editorial plan, and the implementation of a headless CMS to the introduction of a lead management system.

Proximity to, and above all with, the users is particularly important to me, because that is where the change has to take place.

With this knowledge and the experience I have gained during these years and projects, I now support mesakumo's clients.

HR Business Partner

Ann-Kathrin Mangold

Already during my psychology studies, I specialised in personnel and organisational development. With a focus on human resources and economic psychology, I laid the foundation early on for my current work in the HR field.

Following this, I was able to gain four years of well-founded experience in recruiting and talent management as an HR consultant – particularly in the IT and engineering sectors. In doing so, I worked both strategically and operationally, building up a diverse expertise in headhunting, active sourcing and applicant management.

Today I bring this knowledge to mesakumo, where, alongside operational HR work, I am working specifically on the further development of strategic HR topics. In addition, I have our recruiting service makerfinder the opportunity to apply and pass on my know-how in active sourcing directly with the client.

Trusted Advisor for Digital Transformation

Markus Rabsch

My professional career follows the themes and challenges of product development and product/marketing communication. After vocational training and an engineering degree, my roles included software development in process control technology, establishing an electronic publishing business unit with the development of a market-leading PIM system, business development in the translation management sector, and most recently, sales and consulting in a management consultancy.

Overall, I look back on over 35 years of professional experience.

My focus is on our customers and their needs, identifying potential for digital transformation and supporting them through implementation.

Manager

Ilanit Kaiser

Before joining mesakumo, I gained six years of valuable experience in strategy and project management, as well as in international sales within the leisure vehicle industry. My main focus was on the digitalisation of sales processes, within which I was responsible for the introduction and expansion of a B2B customer portal for sales and marketing applications.

My passion is developing practical digital solutions that optimise business processes and drive companies forward. I am convinced that the key to success lies in successfully connecting people, processes and products.

Senior Consultant

Max Buchenscheit

Before coming to mesakumo, I worked as a Business Development Manager in the digital sector for over three years. During this time, I was able to gain valuable practical experience in developing digital business models and data-driven sales strategies. My academic background combines a Bachelor's degree in Information Management and Corporate Communications with a Master's degree in Business Development, which enables me to effectively link IT topics with business administration aspects.
In my career so far, I have focused intensively on digital business models and e-commerce projects. A particular highlight was the establishment of an e-commerce sales channel for a medium-sized B2C company, where I managed the project from strategy through to implementation.

At mesakumo, I look forward to contributing my experience to new projects and developing pragmatic, effective solutions together with our clients.

Manager

Manuela Engl

Improving and digitalising processes in production and logistics is my specialism, as I have worked in these very areas myself. Digital transformation in production and logistics always affects employees too. Putting people at the centre of this, and shaping the digital strategy together with experience and empathy, is particularly important to me.
Before joining mesakumo, I spent 13 years working for one of Germany’s largest automotive suppliers. Having started whilst still a student, I was able to gain practical experience in a direct production and logistics environment right from the start, which provided me with important foundations and insights into processes, challenges and products during my years as Strategic Area Lead and Process Consultant in the field of Industry 4.0. This in-depth understanding has given me significant advantages, whether in the development and implementation of automated replenishment software or support tools for packaging and loading, or in the restructuring of intralogistics.
Senior Growth & Marketing Manager

Rebekka Reiner

As a trained graphic designer, I really enjoy creating content that is both aesthetically pleasing and effectively targeted through the combination of text, images, videos, and graphic elements. My knowledge was further expanded through a degree in „Information Management and Corporate Communications“ at Neu-Ulm University.  Through my work in manufacturing companies as well as in agencies, I have been able to build up a broad base of experience in marketing.

I am now bringing this experience to mesakumo and am responsible for our growth and marketing activities. Of course, I am also happy to support our clients and consultants with my expertise whenever I can help out on a client project.

Principal Expert

Jürgen Bohatsch

With more than 25 years’ experience in IT within the German SME sector across various companies, I have personally experienced and shaped digital transformation – from the modernisation of IT operations right through to the technical implementation of digital business models. I now bring the knowledge I have gained over almost 20 years as Head of IT and Digitalisation in various SMEs to bear as a consultant at mesakumo and for our clients.

I began my professional career By the way with a traditional qualification in information technology, which he later supplemented with a degree in computer science.

Manager

Franziska Reichle

Through my several years of experience in software product management at a medium-sized mechanical engineering company, I have developed a broad understanding of digital products, processes and strategies. Responding to the needs of various internal and external stakeholders and developing strategies together has become my passion. Bringing people, processes and products together is at the heart of what I do.

In addition to my work as a consultant, my responsibilities include designing and developing standardised consultancy products, as well as the strategic development of mesakumo.

To complement the knowledge I have gained from working in the industry, I completed a Master’s degree in „Digital Innovation & Business Transformation“ whilst working.

Senior Consultant

Anic Studer

I drive transformation that brings together strategy, processes, technology and people, with the aim of creating sustainable structures that help organisations and individuals to progress.

Before joining mesakumo, I spent over a decade in finance and controlling roles, some of which were managerial, where my responsibilities included establishing and further developing reporting and management processes. Most recently, I spent around eight years working in organisational development and project management – including at various ERP consultancies, in administration and at industrial companies. There, I led transformation and digitalisation projects, supported ERP implementations and established governance structures.

My strength lies in grasping concepts quickly, developing pragmatic solutions and winning people over to change, even in challenging situations. With clarity and empathy, I guide leaders and teams through change, create direction and trust, and ensure that shared goals generate motivation and that change is embedded sustainably.

Senior Consultant

Julia Scherer

Before my consulting career, I managed digital projects for six years in consumer goods manufacturing companies. My main areas of focus were digital communication, project management, and executive assistance. Most recently, I led a comprehensive transformation project at a family-owned business.

For me, communication and culture are the key elements of sustainable transformation. That is why I support our clients, particularly in the area of change management, to initiate and embed change. In doing so, I draw on my extensive knowledge of processes and organisational development, which I acquired whilst studying for my MBA alongside my full-time job.

Manager

Anis Houari Fah

Before joining mesakumo, I spent nine years in various roles at the intersection of technology, data and processes. As an in-house consultant at a bank, I redesigned digital services using service design and design thinking methods. After that, I worked for seven years at a mechanical engineering company—most recently as head of an IT team. I combine strategic thinking and creativity with sound conceptual and implementation experience in areas such as BI, process automation and IT organisation.

What motivates me is breaking down barriers between disciplines, bringing different perspectives together and, in doing so, creating solutions that, collectively, achieve more than the sum of their parts.

Office Manager

Alina Gutermann

I am a qualified industrial clerk and, until I became pregnant, worked for a total of 12 years as an assistant for an international mechanical engineering company. After the birth of my daughter and my subsequent parental leave, I found mesakumo to be the ideal partner for my return to work.

In my new role as Office Manager, I am the heart and soul of the office and ensure that day-to-day office life runs smoothly. I am responsible for organising internal events, handling invoicing and placing orders, and I assist with recruitment.

Growth & Marketing Manager

Carla Günther

After completing my degree in Information Management and Corporate Communication at Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences, I gained two years of professional experience in corporate communication. I then deepened my knowledge through a master's degree in Communication and Design for Sustainability, during which I worked for two years as a working student in mesakumo's marketing team.

Since completing my degree, I have been working as a Growth & Marketing Manager at mesakumo, focusing on implementing our marketing strategies and increasing the company’s visibility.

Senior Consultant

Johanna Kiesling

Before I started at mesakumo, I worked as a strategy consultant for several years. My main areas of focus were corporate strategy, due diligence and M&A. The clients were private equity firms and medium-sized enterprises from a wide variety of industries and sectors.

Through various projects, I have been able to build up a very deep understanding of SMEs, their respective diverse business models and strategies, as well as their specific requirements and challenges in transformational processes. I am now bringing this, in combination with my many years of project management experience, into our client projects. Both are important in order to consistently manage the often extensive digital and IT modernisation programmes and to repeatedly ensure alignment with the programmes' strategic goals.

I am currently on maternity leave.

People & Culture

Yvonne Bonasch

Both during my degree in Integrative Social Sciences at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern and in my professional life, I have always worked at the interface between technology and people, both in theory and in practice.

Driven by this passion, I take on both the operational and strategic HR responsibilities at mesakumo. Having gained some experience in the past with active sourcing for key IT roles, I am also happy to continue helping our clients fill their vacancies through active sourcing. I really enjoy this additional role alongside my internal HR work, and it fits perfectly with our mesakumo approach to enabling digital transformation.

I am currently on maternity leave.

Senior Manager Business Development

Max Stieper

I support mesakumo with customer acquisition using various sales methods. Before joining mesakumo as a project-based employee, I held various roles in management and IT consultancy, as well as in investment banking.

For more than ten years, I have been supporting mid-sized companies—including my own family business—as well as corporations in their digital transformation. With a strong focus on sales, I help clients realign their business models through strategic approaches and transform them on a sound commercial basis so that these initiatives establish themselves successfully in the market.

Project-related collaboration

Frank Ilg

I worked in the SME sector for over 25 years, including eleven years with operational responsibility for global innovation management, strategies and projects.

My key areas of expertise lie in the management of ambidexterity (exploration and exploitation), the strategic further development of innovation strategies and organisations, and the successful implementation of new approaches in practice. This generates measurable added value, both within the company and in collaboration with external partners and clients.

In 2025 I have innovate founded and has since supported industrial companies strategically and operationally in their innovation work. From ideation (e.g. through trend and search field analysis) to the implementation of concrete projects.

Project-related collaboration

Konstantin Lucks

My foundation: around ten years of experience in strategy, transformation and the development of new business models – including nearly five years at McKinsey and most recently as Head of Strategy & Insights at an international diagnostics group with over 12,000 employees.

Today I support companies, investors and founders with growth strategies, commercial due diligences and the further development of their business models. A particular focus lies on private equity-backed companies and the question of how strategic, commercial and technological potentials can be translated into measurable value creation.

In doing so, I combine analytical depth with a pragmatic implementation perspective: from the evaluation of markets, business models and investment opportunities to the development and execution of concrete initiatives for growth, digitalisation and operational improvement.

Our values

For us, it is very much about change for people through technology. The following values and principles are central to us in this regard.

Effective benefit for our customers is our top priority

Tailored to their initial situation, strategic goals and capabilities, we help our clients reach the next digital level. IT systems, tools, artificial intelligence and digital transformation are not an end in themselves for us, but rather tools for the targeted further development of every company's key building blocks.

– Business model & strategy

– People, Organisation & Processes

– Technology

We are not sponging off anyone

For us, it is the greatest praise when our clients want to continue working with us after the first project and when we are allowed to tackle the next topics together. However, anyone who works with us can be sure that we do not make ourselves irreplaceable, but rather enable our clients to continue to be successful even without external consultancy.

Relevant practical experience instead of „learning on the job“

Before joining mesakumo, our consultants worked in the real world at SMEs, where they gained relevant digital and IT experience. As a result, we provide practical advice and can assemble tailored teams with the right experience and methods for our clients and their specific challenges.

Our team: decent people, on an equal footing

We recruit entrepreneurial-minded employees who take responsibility for mesakumo and our clients, and with whom working together is also fun. Our team is diverse, and we structure our work organisation so that it accommodates various life situations.

Our guiding principles: democracy, the rule of law and human rights

We view digitalisation as a building block for a sustainable society based on democratic values, the rule of law and universal human rights. We stand for a united, strong and democratic Europe and advocate that technology development and use take place in harmony with these values. We live by this stance in our daily work, in the selection of partners and through our social engagement. Within the political and denominational spectrum that is founded on this bedrock of democracy and the rule of law, we remain value-neutral.

Sustainability & Carbon Neutrality

We accompany companies into the digital future and assume responsibility towards customers, the region and coming generations. For us, economic progress and ecological action go hand in hand. Therefore, since our foundation, we have strived for climate neutrality: we reduce and record our emissions and offset our residual emissions using verified certificates.

What does mesakumo stand for?

Linguistically, it is a Greek-Japanese coinage. In terms of content, the name reflects the conviction that the public cloud is the technological key to implementing our clients' digital strategies.

The goal of accompanying our customers on their journey to the cloud therefore provides the name: combining mesa (Greek for „into, inside“) and kumo (Japanese for „cloud“) creates mesakumo: „Into the cloud!“.
